Dani is an owner of a nightclub where all of the cool young kids hang out, but the club is in financial trouble. So she hires Mike to help her out with her cash flow problem. The two concoct a devious plan to extort money from some of their beautiful teenage girl patron’s parents. First they must introduce selected girls to a world of sex and drugs, thus getting them hooked on the “kicks”. Those kicks involve charging lecherous old men to act out their most perverse and sadistic fantasies with the girls and letting the young ladies keep the money.
But little do they know that Mike is in the shadows, taking pictures of their disgusting sexual rendezvous with the old perverts. The pictures will be used in their plan to extort money from the girls and their rich families. In the process Mike falls for one of the girls and tries to back out of the plan. Now the betrayal of her partner, the apparent apathy (and perversion) of the parents and the unforeseen fury of the “little girls” threaten to not only ruin her scheme to save her failing nightclub, but also to endanger her life!
I can’t imagine a movie like this existing in the mid to late ’60s. A black and white sexploitation movie just seems… wrong. Even though the content is pretty shocking even in the present (how about a father raping his 15 year old daughter after he finds out that she is a whore!), the execution is pretty tame by today’s standards of sleaze and sex in cinema. Bare boobies is all you see as far as nudity is concerned, the sex scenes are very “soft” and most are playfully funny, but some of the S&M scenes, like of a lady trussed up by her tits and beaten, are downright raunchy.
I loved the obvious use of girls in their 20s to play the underage (one referred to as being “barely 15″) teen girls. It sets the tone of the whole movie to be so unbelievable that the sordid subject matter has less of a bite. This being a low budget sex romp, the acting was awful, the action was ridiculous and the plot was… oh, who gives a fuck? It was a perverted movie for the raincoat crowd, so we know what to expect, don’t we? One scene that sticks out for me was a chase scene in which Dani is cornered after she “climbs” a tree branch that’s laying on the ground and instead of just yanking her down, her pursuers “climb” the branch too and they all fall off. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it.
Cinema Epoch’s presentation of Little Girls is pretty good considering the age and relative obscurity of the film. There is some obvious film damage and a scene or two with improper framing, but it doesn’t take away from the viewing at all. It’s a pretty bare bones disk with only a short (but interesting) film essay by Bill Gibron and a DVD cover gallery of Cinema Epoch movies as extras. The DVD is part of Epoch’s “Grindhouse Sexploitation Collection” which features other titles like Slave Widow, The Bite and Sly Stallone’s Italian Stallion. YO, ADRIAN! GO PICK UP LITTLE GIRLS OR I’LL PUNCH YOU IN DA NOSE!
Okay, so my Stallone impression sucks… sue me.
