DVD and BD specs and revised cover art for Adam Green’s “Hatchet II”
On February 2nd, 2011 Dark Sky Films will release the highly anticipated sequel to the über gory throwback slasher Hatchet on DVD and high definition blu-ray. This second installment stars long time stuntman and sometime hockey mask donner, Kane Hodder reprising his role as the menacing “Victor Crowley”. Also returning is Tony Todd (Candyman) as “Reverend Zombie” but the role of “Marybeth” is being taken over from Tamara Feldman by Rob Zombie’s Halloween II star Danielle Harris.
Hatchet II picks up right where the 2007 original film ends, as Marybeth escapes from the clutches of the deformed, swamp-dwelling killer, Victor Crowley. She returns to the Louisiana swamps along with an army of hunters to recover the bodies of her family and exact her revenge against Crowley. Killing and bloody mayhem ensues. The film also stars other genre icons including Tom Holland and well known names including Parry Shen, Aj Bowen and others.
