aka Immagini di un convento

Exploitation Digital / Unrated / NTSC R1 / Widescreen (1.85:1) / 94 minutes / English Language dubbed / PURCHASE

Soon a after a young woman named Isabella is forced to stay in a convent, weird and evil things begin to happen there. She rebels against the sisters by acting out sexually and starts planning her escape. Then, a man is found injured in the courtyard and is taken in by the sisterhood. He turns out to have plans of his own to defile each and every virgin in the church. An evil spirit tormenting and tempting all of the nuns with sexual desire shows up around the time the man was found. Could he be the human incarnation of the demon? Isabella plans on using the man to help her with her escape, but can she trust him?

I figured I would keep the synopsis short since that’s not the focal point of this movie. Its very simple plot is just a tool D’Amato uses to dole out his brand of euro-sleaze. The “nunsploitation” genre is pretty sleazy in and of itself, but Joe knows how to turn it up a notch. This could have just as easily been known as Nuns Gone Wild!: Italian Edition. The HNiC (Head Nuns in Charge) “help” the others stave off sexual desires by having sex with them! From 69ing sisters, to huge wooden dildos, these nuns are getting more ass than Ron Jeremy.

In the last third of the movie, Mother Superior sends out a sister to get an exorcist to battle the evil spirit loose in the convent. Along the way she is raped by two men on the side of the road. This is where the already sleazy movie shifts into overdrive. There is actual fellatio going on here. Nuts! The exorcist does show up at the convent, but when he starts the ceremony, all of the nuns become possessed and work themselves into a sexual frenzy. It’s something to behold as the Father is attacked by the sexually possessed women.

This may be the most over-the-top sexual nunsploitation movie I have ever seen. There is none of the violence usually associated with the genre, just the sex. I would put this in the same sleaze-o-phere as Malabimba. It’s fun, gloriously offensive sexual content that moves the story along nicely. In fact, the story and acting were pretty good and of course the direction and cinematography were great if you like D’Amato’s leering eye, which I do. Pick this one up if you are a fan of the genre or just want to spank it to some hot Italian nuns. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. Any film mentioned in the same breath as “Malabimba” must be purchased. Soon.

  2. Great review. I love this film. It definitely has just the right of sleaze. There’s nothing quite like seeing some hot nuns get it on with one another. :-)

  3. I have seen (and still have the VHS) the unsubtitled italian version so I was unsure of what’s going on except for nuns having sex.

But, subtitled or not, a movie about nuns having sex can’t be completely bad although a bit of gore would have been nice.

Never heard of “Malabimba” before. I’m now hunting for it…

  4. My all-time favorite nunsploitation flick! The final sequence is a sight to be behold.

Definitely seek out MALABIMBA, followed shortly by CONVENT OF THE SACRED BEAST (Japanese nunsploitation!).

  5. “Convent of the Sacred Beast” aka “School of the Holy Beast” is definitely up there. But it has more of an arthouse feel that just sleaze. Recommended for sure.
