The original Schoolgirl Report was apparently a huge hit during its theatrical run in its native Germany. Because of the success the German movie makers decided to make a sequel. But unlike its Hollywood counterparts who believe they have to “one up” themselves by making the sequel more violent, sexier, louder, etc., it seems that they decided to just change the mood a little. Volume 1 had a very playful attitude and it felt like they were poking fun at the conservative majority. In this volume, the mood is a little more somber. It’s not depressing by any means, but it deals with heavier scenarios. In turn, the sex and explicitness seemed to be turned down a notch – but just a notch.
Our template is the same as the rest of the series: man-on-the-street interviews with random people about the sexual lives of teen girls, vignettes of teen girls in various sexual situations, opinions from assorted experts and narration by the creepy voice guy. The situations this go around are a little more “serious” in that they deal with issues like drugs, rape and pregnancy. The girls for the most part are between the ages of 15 & 18 and are in some way troubled. This movie delves into not only the decisions made by the girls, but the repercussions and reactions by the parents and other authority figures.
Three girls blackmail their science teacher by luring him into one of their homes and seducing him while secretly taking pictures. What the girls don’t take into consideration is the dire consequences their little game could have. A drunk young girl is picked up at a bar by two guys who take her to their place, shoot her up with heroin and take turns raping her. Two girls sell their naked bodies to a photographer to make a little money. A lucky cabbie is gang-banged by a horde of crazy, nubile teens. Teens fuck for the first time in a barn, others run away and get taken advantage of, and still others deal with pregnancy and criminal ramifications of statutory rape. These are the stories that keep parents awake at night for sure.
This series has to get old, doesn’t it? I mean, you can only have so many scenarios, right? So far – I’ve seen the first 3 of the 13 (5 of which are out on R1 DVD) – I haven’t been disappointed. They have been interesting, fast moving and above all, incredibly inappropriate yet sexy. Most of the girls look the ages they are portraying – god, I hope they aren’t – and are just so damn hot and Lolita-like. Does that make me a pervert of the highest degree? Probably, but that doesn’t change the fact that Vol. 2 is a welcomed addition to my DVD collection and I will eventually own every one that is put out on Region 1 DVD. Which if Impulse Pictures has anything to do with it, they all will be.
